With Momento, we will engage in an intimate conversation with your loved one to uncover their life story. With this information in mind, we make a piece of art or an article to help them regain their sense of identity and relay important memories. Each session typically takes an hour, however, this may vary from person to person.
After the session, volunteers start creating the piece. Within a fortnight , volunteers will deliver a physical copy that encompasses the enduring memories of the personโs life. Throughout this process, volunteers may also reach out to clarify any details or make any other customizations.
Our Process
Before the session, kindly provide the following information to help us form our guiding questions during the conversation:
- Cultural backgrounds
- Past occupation
- Family information
- Hobbies
- Any triggers/topics we should steer clear from
- Anything notable
During the session, volunteers engage in open conversation for approximately an hour to provide company and also aid the individual in recalling key life events or experiences.

Pricing
Usually, any article or artwork we are commissioned to do costs $50 per person, with all profits going to dementia research.
However, as we are currently undergoing our trial stage, all our work is free of charge.
